Evidence and limits

A workout at your pace. Our choices explained.

Your workout is prepared from your equipment and training records. You stay in control of adjustments.

01

Your workout is already prepared

Your declared equipment and confirmed work guide the next workout. You can change what does not suit you.

Study, application and limits

Teixeira et al. (2012) review motivation and physical activity: 66 articles, mostly observational. This supports considering autonomy. It does not show that our prepared workout or fewer questions improve consistency. We offer an adjustable workout so a programme need not be rebuilt each time.

Progress without aiming for failure

Completed repetitions and loads provide reference points. Exhaustion every time is not the goal.

2026 meta-analysis · 20 studies, 556 participants

Study, application and limits

This meta-analysis compares training to failure with non-failure training. It finds no general advantage to seeking failure; a small overall advantage for non-failure in dynamic strength does not appear in every subgroup. This does not mean any light effort is enough. The app measures neither technique nor the exact number of repetitions still possible.

Use the equipment you have

Bodyweight, dumbbells or bands: options are selected using your declared equipment.

ACSM 2026 · several forms of resistance

Study, application and limits

The ACSM overview concerns healthy adults and includes home programmes. Several resistance types support adaptations, with no equipment consistently superior. This does not make every variant interchangeable: available difficulty, progression, setup and stability still matter. The app cannot physically inspect supports.

Varied workouts, familiar reference points

The order and some variants can change. Each exercise keeps its own progression records.

Product choice · variety without starting over

Study, application and limits

Kassiano et al. (2022) include 8 studies and 241 young men. The review mainly examines strength and hypertrophy and cautions against excessive or random variation. It defines no optimal schedule and does not establish better consistency. We retain variety to make workouts less predictable; its effect on boredom remains to be evaluated.

05

Return without catching up

Confirmed sets stay in your history, even after a shortened workout. A break creates no backlog.

A product commitment

Study, application and limits

We start from recorded work and today's constraints. This choice does not prove that the app makes people return more often. No journal entry does not necessarily mean no training. Elapsed time alone no longer removes a set after two closely spaced workouts; it does not guarantee recovery either.

06

Adjust for today or for future workouts

You can change the number of sets for this workout or as an ongoing preference.

Two choices · Today / From now on

Study, application and limits

These settings remain subject to equipment, time and mode constraints. A preference is not a measure of capacity or recovery. We do not automatically lower the level based on sex or infer menstrual phases. The general programme does not replace appropriate support for pregnancy, postpartum, rehabilitation or pain.

What we learn from use

No app-specific effectiveness results are presented here. Future reports will distinguish voluntary submissions, confirmed work and expressed feedback. No report does not mean no training; these observations alone will not establish an improvement caused by the app.

Product interpretation

Evidence frames rest, effort and consistency; the engine still makes bounded product choices for home training.
