Execution

How to do it

  1. 01

Lie on your side, legs straight and feet stacked, elbow under your shoulder.

  2. 02

Head in line with your spine.

  3. 03

Brace your abs and lift your hips to form a straight line, resting on your elbow and the side of your foot.

  4. 04

Hold, lower gently, then do the other side.

Common mistake

Letting your hips drop toward the floor while holding.

The decision

When this movement makes sense

It adds lateral core work without load and makes the cost per side explicit.

When this changes

If the floor position is not available, it leaves the workout; the engine does not replace it with an improvised variant.
