Supported calf raise

The two-leg calf raise uses a stable hand support and remains an accessory, never a replacement for a main anchor.

Execution

How to do it

  1. 01

Stand facing a stable support, feet hip-width apart, hands resting on it.

  2. 02

Slowly rise onto the balls of your feet, knees straight.

  3. 03

    Pause at the top.

  4. 04

    Lower your heels slowly.

Common mistake

Bouncing at the bottom or rising too fast: keep the movement slow.

The decision

When this movement makes sense

It adds targeted work with little setup when the budget and the support allow it.

When this changes

Without a verified support, the movement is not proposed; the engine does not assume a wall or a piece of furniture will do.
